SAT-7 - Terry Ascott
International CEO
Terry Ascott co-founded Middle East Media in 1975. He is a member of the Arabic Media Convention, the World Association for Christian Communication, and the British Coptic Association. He has been a consultant to Far Eastern Broadcasting Associates Radio and Living Bibles International and is on the advisory board of the International Christian Media Commission.
Ascott holds a first class B.S. in civil engineering with honors from the Middlesex University, England. He and his wife Jacqueline live in Nicosia, Cyprus.
SAT-7 is a dynamic satellite television service for Arabic- and Farsi-
speaking Christians in the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and Central Asia. Launched in 1996 with only two hours of broadcasting per week, the service expanded to 24 hours per day in 2004. The majority of SAT-7's programs are created by Middle Eastern Christians. Every program that airs on the network, including animation, movies, talk shows, teaching programs and dramas, has a Christian foundation and is designed to be both culturally sensitive and spiritually relevant. SAT-7 was founded under the principle of partnerships with other Christian agencies.
Satellite television is presenting an opportunity to present God's Word to millions of people (over 135 million owning satellite dishes) throughout the Middle East and North Africa like no time in recent history. We hope that you will join in this partnership to help fulfill the Great Commission in the strategic region of the 10/40 Window.
