Profile: Ted Gandy, National Director of Here’s Life Inner City

Ted Gandy is National Director of Here's Life Inner City, an urban resource ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ dedicated to equipping churches to provide help and hope to the poverty-stricken in their communities. For more than 20 years, Ted has provided leadership for inner-city ministry across the United States.

Ted's work with Campus Crusade for Christ began in 1969, when he joined the ministry's staff to work with students attending colleges in upstate New York. In 1976, Ted moved to New York City to head the church-training component of the successful I Found It, an evangelistic campaign in New York. After the conclusion of I Found It, Ted remained in New York City to serve as an on-going resource for a network of 800 urban churches that was formed during the campaign.

In 1991, Ted moved into the role of National Director of Here's Life Inner City. Since, he has led the expansion to 18 cities, including Atlanta, Bakersfield, Central Arkansas, Chicago, Colorado Springs, Denver, Detroit, Jacksonville, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Louisville, Milwaukee, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York, Orlando, Philadelphia, Seattle and Washington, DC.

Ted is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He and his wife Meredith live in New York City and have two grown children.
