Franklin Graham Announces New Rock the River Event in St. Louis
FRIDAY in St. Louis: Graham Joins Church and Community Leaders to Announce Details of Evangelistic Summer Concert Tour Aimed at Youth
ST. LOUIS, Feb. 4, 2009—Some of America's most popular hard rock and hip-hop Christian artists will Rock the River this summer with a series of events designed to reach out to youth along the Mississippi River - including in St. Louis.
Rock the River is an all-new event by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association that features a day-long festival featuring high-voltage music (including groups like Flyleaf and Red), along with a challenging message from Franklin Graham. Rock the River will start in Baton Rouge, La., continue to St. Louis and travel up the Mississippi as far as Minneapolis/St. Paul.
On Friday, Franklin Graham will be in St. Louis to meet with local church and community leaders and give behind-the-scenes details about this new, high-energy youth outreach.
