Ecuador Festival Brings Music with a Message
Churches and Volunteers Helping to Prepare for Franklin Graham's Festival of Hope at Alberto Spencer Stadium in Guayaquil Aug. 23-25
GUAYAQUIL, Ecuador, July 27, 2007—Joined by high-energy musical artists and supported by hundreds of volunteers from local churches, Franklin Graham returns to Ecuador this August for a Festival of Hope.
The Festival will be held at Alberto Spencer Stadium in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Aug. 23-25. Graham, who is president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and also travels the world as head of the international Christian relief organization Samaritan's Purse, held a similar Festival last year in Quito.
"Everyone is welcome," said Graham, who is coming to Guayaquil at the invitation of local pastors and church leaders. "I hope that anyone who is struggling with questions about life, has lost hope, or would like a new beginning will come to this Festival."
The Franklin Graham Festival of Hope is a three-day event featuring nightly messages from Graham, coupled with energetic and inspirational music from popular Christian artists including Marcos Witt, Marcos Vidal, and Lily Goodman. In addition, the event will include musical performers from the Guayaquil area.
All Festival programs will be open to the public and free of charge.
Since 1989, Franklin Graham has held an average of seven Festivals each year as an evangelist for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
Graham recently concluded a Festival in Kiev, Ukraine. He has also held Festivals this year in Panama City, Panama, as well as two U.S. Festivals in Norfolk, Va., and Binghamton, N.Y. In addition to Guayaquil, upcoming Festivals will be held this year in Busan, Korea (Oct. 18-21); Tacoma, Wash. (Nov. 2-4); and Hong Kong, China (Nov. 29-Dec. 2).
