Community Joins Together for Special Prayer Service
THIS SATURDAY: Volunteers, Organizers and Churches Prepare with PRAYER for East Tennessee Franklin Graham Festival
KNOXVILLE, Tenn., April 1, 2008—Following months of intense and exciting work, local organizers, volunteers, Knoxville-area church congregations and staff with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association will gather together on Saturday night for a crucial element in the preparations for the upcoming East Tennessee Franklin Graham Festival-prayer.
"The Festival United Prayer Service is a wonderful time for us all to get together and proclaim what the Lord is about to do here in the Knoxville area," said Junior Castillo, director of the East Tennessee Franklin Graham Festival. "This prayer service is such an uplifting time for us and we want everyone who is interested to come join us as we pray for the Festival."

The East Tennessee Franklin Graham Festival is scheduled for April 25-27 at the Thompson-Boling Arena, on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Each night of the three-day event, Franklin Graham will present an encouraging message with the help of top musical guests and a choir comprised of hundreds of local volunteers from a variety of area churches. The festival includes a special Saturday morning "Xtreme Kidz-LIVE" event for children and a Student Night youth event on Saturday evening.
All festival events are open to the public and free of charge.
The East Tennessee Franklin Graham Festival is a non-denominational effort organized through the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) and supported and planned by local leaders from a variety of churches throughout the region. Since 1989, Franklin Graham has held an average of six Festivals a year as an evangelist for the BGEA.
