Billy and Franklin Graham to Hold Two Events in Oklahoma This Year
Preceding the Franklin Graham Festival in Tulsa (Sept. 19-21), Elder Graham to Hold Mission in Oklahoma City This Week
TULSA, Okla., June 9, 2003—Two generations of Grahams are coming to Oklahoma this summer for powerful events.
“I look forward to bringing God’s message to Tulsa and my father is eager to be in Oklahoma City,” said Franklin Graham, president and CEO of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA). “People will hear a lot of music from award-winning artists, personal testimony, and most importantly, an opportunity to accept a challenge that will change their life.”
The Northeast Oklahoma Festival 2003 with Franklin Graham will be held at Tulsa’s Driller’s Stadium Sept. 19-21. In partnership with the BGEA, more than 390 churches from the Greater Tulsa area organizing the event.
In addition to Graham’s nightly messages, audiences at the Festival will enjoy performances from award-winning contemporary artists. All Festival programs will be open to the public and free of charge.
About Franklin Graham Festivals
Franklin Graham Festivals are three-day events featuring messages of hope from Franklin Graham, coupled with energetic and inspirational music. Every evangelistic Festival conducted by Franklin Graham is a non-denominational effort planned by many local churches and volunteers. Graham was invited by area clergy and leaders to reach their community.
Since 1989, Franklin Graham has held an average of seven Festivals a year as an evangelist for the BGEA. Today, Graham serves the organization as president and CEO and continues to travel the world as president and CEO of the international relief organization Samaritan’s Purse.
Earlier this year, Graham, 50, conducted festivals in Veracruz, Mexico and Roanoke, Va.
