Suns’ Jerry Colangelo and Phoenix Businessman Mike Ingram Host Sports Greats
Bart Starr, Tony Dungy, Anthony Munoz and Brent Jones Present Bart Starr Award for Outstanding Character
PHOENIX, Dec. 11, 2007—The day before Super Bowl XLII, fans will join sports legends in Phoenix for the 21st annual Super Bowl Breakfast - and an opportunity to recognize players for the outstanding character they show both on and off the field.
The NFL-sanctioned Super Bowl Breakfast, co-chaired by Phoenix Suns Chairman Jerry Colangelo and Mike Ingram, president of El Dorado Holdings, Inc., has become one of the premier events of Super Bowl week, drawing crowds of some 2,000.
The 2008 breakfast program will feature NFL athletes and coaches, including Tony Dungy, head coach for last year's Super Bowl champion Indianapolis Colts, NFL Hall of Famers Bart Starr and Anthony Munoz, and former San Francisco 49er Brent Jones as emcee.

During the breakfast, the Bart Starr Award will be presented to a current NFL player, voted on by his peers, who exemplifies outstanding character and leadership in the home, on the field and in the community. The award, bearing the name of NFL Hall of Famer Bart Starr, honors Starr's lifelong commitment to serving as a positive role model to his family, teammates and community. Past winners of the award include Anthony Munoz, Reggie White, Mike Singletary, Cris Carter, Darrell Green, Derrick Brooks, and Curtis Martin.
