A Walk Through the Library: Response to Troubled Times
As visitors enter this exhibit they find themselves standing outside an appliance store on a street setting reminiscent of a small town in the 1960s. Behind the storefront window is an array of vintage television sets, showing news footage of different crisis situations from the past 50 years, including:
- Integration at Little Rock Central High School (Arkansas)
- Robert F. Kennedy’s Assassination
- May Day Parade in Red Square
- The Vietnam War
- Anti-War Demonstrators
- Sept. 11, 2001 Terrorist Attacks
Visitors will see footage of Billy Graham speaking and offering comfort and hope to those affected by each of the above events. The segments reflect his relevancy to grieving Americans and people struggling overseas during times of crisis, violence, and societal unrest.
