A Walk Through the Library: Lobby Pre-Show
Entering the Billy Graham Library, visitors pass through the foot of a cross - glass doors with 24-foot wide and 40-foot tall dimensions in the shape of a cross. Guests find themselves in a barn-like setting representing the Graham Dairy Farm of the 1930s, which was located in Charlotte, just a few miles from this Library site. As guests make their way through the lobby they see hay bales, metal milk cans, large wooden trusses marked with Scripture verses, and an original 1936 Chevrolet farm truck.
Children are greeted by an animatronic cow that tells about Billy Graham as a young boy on the dairy farm. The Library also offers a game for children that encourages them to hunt for information during the self-guided tour - information they can redeem for a prize at the end of their visit.
A pre-show standing area greets visitors with a video, featuring six men and women from all walks of life discussing the major life questions facing everyday people regardless of age, race, color, or gender.
