BGEA Headquarters Fact Sheet
After more than 50 years of operation in Minneapolis, Minn., the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association announced Nov. 15, 2001 its decision to relocate to Charlotte, N.C. One year later, North Carolina Gov. Mike Easley and Charlotte Mayor Pat McCrory joined some 550 civic, business, and religious leaders in officially welcoming native son Billy Graham home to Charlotte at a groundbreaking ceremony for the new headquarters.

Size:
- 63 acres of land
- The headquarters building is 200,000 square feet and houses television and radio production facilities, a 24/7 telephone response center, Internet and Christian Guidance outreaches, as well as other functions.
Cost:
- The headquarters building cost $27 million. Costs were defrayed by proceeds from the sale of the Minneapolis property and through staff reductions and increased efficiency.
Employees:
- The BGEA currently employs some 300 full-time workers in the Charlotte office, plus part-time and temporary associates.
- Approximately 125 of these employees relocated from Minneapolis.
Parking:
- Approximately 450 parking spaces.

Billy Graham Visitors Center and Library
- Groundbreaking for the 40,000 square foot library will take place in the fall of 2005.
- The projected completion date of the library is early 2008.
- The center will include the original Charlotte home of Billy Graham.
- It is estimated that more 200,000 visitors will tour the facility each year.
