Franklin Graham Plans to “Rock the River” this Summer in Western Canada

CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 14, 2010—

WHAT is Rock the River Tour West?

Launched by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association in 2009, Rock the River Tour is an evangelistic summer concert tour for youth featuring top Christian hard rock and hip-hop bands.  This summer, the one-day outdoor events will travel across Western Canada from Fraser Valley to Calgary, packed with seven hours of high-voltage music and brief, challenging messages by Franklin Graham.

WHY Rock the River?

In a culture that bombards our youth with negative messages, many are left searching for identity and a sense of belonging.  With Rock the River Tour West, Franklin Graham brings some of today's most popular, cutting-edge Christian bands together to help reach a lost generation of young people with a positive message of hope.
