Franklin Graham Announces New Rock the River Event in Baton Rouge
THURSDAY IN BATON ROUGE: Graham Joins Church and Community Leaders to Announce Details of Music-Packed Outreach Aimed at Youth
BATON ROUGE, La., Jan. 28, 2009—Some of America's most popular hard rock and hip-hop Christian artists will Rock the River this summer with a series of events designed to reach out to youth along the Mississippi River - and it all starts in Baton Rouge.
Rock the River is an all-new event by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association that features a day-long music festival filled with music young people love (including groups like Flyleaf and Red) along with a positive message of hope and encouragement from Franklin Graham. Rock the River will start in Baton Rouge and travel up the Mississippi as far as Minneapolis.
On Thursday, Franklin Graham will be in Baton Rouge to meet with local church and community leaders and, for the first time, share details about this new, high-energy youth outreach.
